W-3c Form

The W-3c Form is a transmittal copy of corrected income and tax statements. The W-3c accompanies W-2c Form in most situations when it is sent to the SSA it totals the information from all the W-2c forms being submitted.

Anyone who paper files W-2 Form must file W-3 Form to transmit Copy A of Forms W-2. Even if there is only one paper W-2 Form being filed a W-3 is still required. There is also no need to file a W-3 Form for Form(s) W-2 that were submitted electronically to the SSA. If you are filing your W-2 forms electronically a separate W-3 Form is not needed.
