Overview
An amended return can be completed only for organizations that originally filed their return with our service and can be done so at any time, and for any year, as long as the organization requesting the amendment has filed a new return with the appropriate Schedules attached. A provided explanation along with all changes made to the return will be recorded and displayed automatically on Schedule O of your return.
Record Maintenance for Amended Return
The amended return must be available for inspection for up to 3 years from the date of filing or 3 years from the date of original return due, whichever is later.
